Wakatobi

By Plane

The Matahora Airport on Wangi-Wangi island has daily flights to and from Makassar (Ujung Pandang) International Airport with a short stop-over in Kendari. There is also a flight from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta Airport) every day at 4am that leaves in time to connect with the flight leaving from Makassar. These flights are operated by Lion Air/Wings Air.

Every Wednesday, AviaStar flies Kendari-Baubau-Wakatobi and back on a small 15 passenger plane.

The airport also plans to operate Garuda Indonesia in the near future with direct flights to and from Bali.
